Religiously-Inspired Asian American Coalitional Justice Work

The Asian American Violence Reduction Coalition (AAVRC) is a partnership of the Chin Community of Indiana (CCI) and Englewood Community Development Corporation (ECDC), who have come together to build a coalition led by Chin congregations to address the growing prevalence of violence among the youth of the Chin community around greater Indianapolis.

Connecting Asian-American Christians in Atlanta to do Justice and Mercy

Beloved Community Circles is a decentralized network of small, intimate groups of practitioners in the Plum Village Community of Engaged Buddhism, in the tradition of Vietnamese Zen Master Thich Nhat Hanh, who are committed to mindful action.


The Chicago chapter of CAAPIC is launching a cohort-model learning community to develop engaged AAPI Christian young adults (ages 18-35) to understand political power and practice the skills of community organizing.


Halemi Lehar (translating to “Queer Revolution”) seeks to mobilize the term “halemi” as a political and organizing category to center the needs, politics, and experiences most marginalized within the Sikh community.

With the help of AARC, Twelve Gates Arts (12G) will produce two group exhibitions that explore diverse religious and spiritual identity formations in South Asian America, particularly within the religious minority communities.
